What Happens During Your Appointment

Your appointment starts with a consultation where we discuss your desired length, shape and curl finish, taking into account your hair's texture, thickness and condition. We then:

• Cleanse and condition at the backwash using products chosen for your hair type — hydrating, volumising or colour-safe formulas to prep your hair perfectly
• Cut your hair to refine the length, add long layers or face-framing pieces, and create movement that helps curls sit and hold
• Blow dry with a round brush to create smoothness, root lift and a polished base for curling
• Curl in sections using a wand or straighteners, directing curls away from your face or in alternating directions for natural volume
• Finish with heat protection, serums, texture spray or hairspray to define curls, add shine and lock in hold

The whole service takes 60–90 minutes depending on your hair's length and thickness, and you'll walk out with a style that usually lasts from the rest of the day up to a few days with the right care.

Your curls will hold best if you avoid moisture, steam and tying hair tightly straight after your appointment. A few simple steps will help your style stay gorgeous for longer:

• Sleep on a satin pillowcase to reduce friction and frizz overnight
• Use a light touch when refreshing curls — a spritz of texture spray or a quick twist with your fingers is often all you need
• Stick to salon-recommended shampoo and conditioner (we stock and use Keune exclusively) to keep your hair healthy and your cut in shape
• Apply heat protection before any at-home styling, and keep tools at moderate temperatures to preserve condition

If you live in Brighouse, Halifax, Huddersfield or anywhere humid, ask your stylist about anti-humidity serums to help your curls hold and keep frizz at bay. And if you're growing your hair, we can plan micro-trims every 10–12 weeks to keep ends strong while preserving length — just mention it in your consultation.
