Choosing a hair colourist is one of those decisions that matters. The technique, the eye for tone, the understanding of how colour sits on your specific hair type, these things make all the difference between a result you love and one that needs fixing.

At Park Row Hair & Beauty, colour is something we take seriously. We welcome clients from across Leeds, Halifax and Brighouse, and our stylists are trained in a full range of colouring techniques, from classic full colour and root touch-ups to the freehand artistry of balayage and the precision of foil highlights. Every appointment starts with a thorough consultation so we understand your hair, your lifestyle, and exactly the result you're looking for.

Not sure which colour service is right for you? Browse our three colour categories below, or book a consultation and we'll help you figure it out.

Hair Colouring

From vibrant fashion shades to natural-looking root cover and rich permanent colour, our stylists deliver results that suit your hair, your skin tone, and your life. Whether you're going deeper, lighter, or just refreshing your existing shade, we'll get it right.

Balayage

Balayage is the art of hand-painting colour directly onto the hair for a soft, natural, sun-kissed result. It grows out beautifully, requires less maintenance than traditional highlights, and creates that effortless, lived-in look that's so hard to replicate at home.

Highlighting

From partial highlights that frame the face to full-head foils that add dimension and brightness throughout, our stylists use precise foiling techniques to create colour that moves and catches the light exactly as it should.

I had the most amazing first experience with Becki, such a lovely lady and made me feel so comfortable as I’m a very anxious person. She is an amazing hairdresser who knows EXACTLY what’s she’s doing and sorted my hair out after I had a mishap of my own doing. She coloured and restyled my hair and I am over the moon with it!!! Highly recommend Becki at Park Row to anyone!!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Which colour service is right for me?
The best way to find out is to come in for a consultation. If you know roughly what you're after — more brightness, covering greys, a completely new look use the links above to explore each service. Not sure at all? Book a colour consultation and we'll talk through your options before recommending anything.
How long does a hair colouring appointment take?
It depends on the service and the condition of your hair. A root touch-up can take as little as 45 minutes, while a full balayage or colour correction can take three hours or more. We'll always give you a realistic time estimate when you book so you can plan your day accordingly.
How often should I have my colour done?
Again, it depends on the service. Balayage typically needs refreshing every 10–16 weeks, while root touch-ups are usually every 4–8 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows and how much contrast you like to show. Your stylist will recommend the ideal interval for your specific colour at the end of your appointment.
Do I need a patch test before my appointment?
Yes if you're having a colour service for the first time with us, or if you haven't had colour done for a while, we require a patch test 48 hours before your appointment. This is a standard safety precaution. When you book, we'll let you know if a patch test is needed and how to arrange it.
Will colouring damage my hair?
Professional colour, applied correctly with the right products and a thorough consultation beforehand, should not cause significant damage. We assess the health of your hair before every colour appointment and will always be honest if we think a treatment could cause harm. We can also recommend conditioning treatments to keep your hair in great condition between visits.
