What Happens During Your Appointment

Your stylist will:

• Shampoo your hair with lukewarm water and the right Keune formula for your hair and scalp, massaging gently from roots to ends
• Apply conditioner to smooth, detangle, and prep your hair for cutting (left on for 1–3 minutes, then rinsed)
• Gently towel-blot excess moisture without rough rubbing
• Cut your hair on clean, combed hair using precise sectioning — whether that's a simple trim, a restyle, layers, or fringe shaping
• Apply a light leave-in product (such as Keune styling cream, heat protectant, or oil) depending on your hair type
• Leave your hair to dry naturally, or dry it until damp if you prefer

The whole appointment takes around 30 minutes, and because there's no blow-dry included, your hair will show its natural texture as it dries at home.

Who This Service Suits

A Wash & Cut is ideal if you:

• Prefer to air-dry your hair or finish styling it yourself at home
• Want a fresh, precise cut on properly cleansed hair (cutting on clean hair gives a more accurate shape)
• Have a regular trim schedule (most clients book every 6–10 weeks to maintain the cut and keep ends healthy)
• Don't need a polished blow-dry finish for an event — if you do, our Ladies Cut & Finish includes a full blow-dry and style
• Appreciate your hair's natural texture — waves, curls, or straight hair will all settle into their own pattern as they dry

Clients with very long, thick, or highly textured hair may need a little extra time; just mention this when you book so we can allow enough space in the diary.

What to Expect After Your Cut

Because we leave your hair to dry naturally (or just until damp), the final look depends on your natural hair type rather than salon styling:

• Wavy or curly hair will form its natural pattern as it air-dries — applying a curl cream or light oil on damp hair can help define texture and reduce frizz
• Straight hair will dry smooth and flat, especially if you use a leave-in conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends
• The cut itself — the shape, layers, and balance — will be precise and fresh, you'll just see it in your own texture rather than a blow-dried finish

At home, avoid brushing wet hair harshly; use a wide-tooth comb or fingers to detangle gently from the ends upward. Using suitable Keune shampoo and conditioner (we stock the full range) and not over-washing helps your hair stay in great condition between visits.
